When RFGS kicked off 2019 with its opening tournament at Prestwick Golf Club (remotely played from Soon Golfbane) The LandLord was named the favourite before start and he managed to keep his cool as Team of the Vikings from the North crushed the South Don Juan’s.

It was a tournament where the focus definitely was set on the Social aspect of playing golf with friends and enemies. Being 9 players, ShortSwing and Snippen volunteered to handle the grill and game, meaning they teamed up as one player. That seemed to be a success, as they served a delicious, but cold, burger. Not that the Grill did not work, but the Don Juan’s where just playing so incredible slow …. I wonder if that is why the light on the projector exploded with anger and they had to finish the last 2-3 holes without a big-screen to look at.

Well, they played slow, the Ruff-Burger got cold, but tasted smoking hot, just like the Chef’s, Snippen/ShortSwing played golf together. They ended up winning the Net stroke competition, but as all know if u use 13 strokes more than the guy next to you, you did not really beat him 🙂

Ironman proved his name right and landed his closest to pin approach on the Tunnel just 2.7 from the hole. Mulligan did not need to use his mulligan on the 12th – Wall hole. He crushed the baby almost 270 meters, splitting the Fairway.

We concluded that another one off the Favourites, The Driver, did not live up to his reputation, could it be because he was the only one actually driving that night? HebbeLille still bends the banana one way and Mr I does deliver upright tv. Marshal matters … that is certain. He broke a 100 and was very happy to have the Society active again. 1 down, many to go.

A great tournament was rounded off Ayr Style ….
