Ended the year on the Screen

It has already gone a few months since I ended the season with a broken confidence and a broken phone … well at least the latter, It does not take more than one decent shot in golf to bring the confidence back …

… however first things first … I ended the season, I thought … some time back. Even though others were invited to join in and the weather was more than decent, the trip to HHG was a journey as a loner, a lobo one might say, and if you do not know what is means … I understand. Anyway the journey too, on and from the course was only accompanied by some nice music on the radio. Not that I have DAB in my car. Who in the mackerel world decided that DAB was the thing? Long story short … as this is not even the story I was going to tell … all by my self on the course, I started great, missed the birdie put, but secured a par. Nice for me. Second hole ended with another par, and then on the third one, the long par 4, something happened. For some reason my Spoon turned on me, Instead of doing the usual nice stuff, it deliberately placed me in the fairway bunker … or was it the bunker that was deliberately placed in the fairway? Well I thought … being all alone a nice selfie, when hitting the ball from the bunker to or at least towards the green with my 5 iron, was a great idea. I placed the phone on the bunker edge and having 3-4 meters to the camera I knew I would not be able to hit it if I tried. The thing I forgot … I did not try to hit it … Jeez, how stupid can one be? At least I got a nice shot (I will share it soon) of the missed shot, although not really in focus, but neither was I.

Back to the story, the competition, the screenplay. I heard that Soon Golfbane, have a nice simulator that can be accessed through booking tee-time. I told The Son and he told his Friend, The Friend of The Son, about this and we all decided to give it some shots before new years eve. In fact just a few hours before. We booked from 11-13 and we all actually enjoyed it. The golf was decent and the computer seemed accurate. I am certain this can be a great way to maintain and even develop your swing during the winter. Ok, it seems a bit pricy … and it is, specially if u have to pay for The Son and The Friend of The Son. But if u split the cost, it is not that bad for a round of golf. If u go all in and purchase a yearly pass, then Swing on baby, swing on 😉

We ended up playing 9 holes in North Carolina and we all played better than we are. The Son took home the Victory with his 26 points on 9 holes, while The Friend of The Son followed one point behind. ShortSwing ended at 20 points.

I was able to test “my new driver” and it took me approximately where I wanted. A little more to the left than the old one (which is actually newer). The old one took me to Pepperstad, if I wanted to go to Hvitsten, while the new one actually took me to Vestby Centre. Same distance, a little more to the left … to left … Why change one might wonder … ask kiddo. More on “the new driver” in a separate test article … to come …
