My shoes

The year of the iPhone, was also the birth year of my current pair of shoes. The year British Army ended their longest running operation ever. The year that Maddie disappeared. If you still have no clue what year we are talking about … then get back on the freakin’ school bench or just google.

Anyway, 13 years, that is a lot for a couple pairs of golf shoes. My mind work in a strange way. The older my things gets the closer I get to them.I grow with them, they grow with me. We get old together. There is a certainly some love between us. So I am not getting rid of my old shoes, just temporarily letting them take a break, just to check out if I can wear Nike again, or new shoes in general. Be cool to check if there has been much improvement over the years? Well since one of my pairs are stick in the City of planks, Fredrikstad, and the other pair is white and I am still not scoring in the 80’s on a regular basis, well hardly on some basis I would say. The white pair is out of my league, although with the aging and lack of care they seem to be turning brownish … it is not easy being my pair of shoes, nor is it being in my shoes. I would like to meet the guy or girl that fills them …

Time to give evolution a chance. Give the golf shoe designers the benefit of the doubt. Time to RENEW. But how does one to that and keep the economic drawback to a minimum. Finn.no ad usually works, that paired with a well formulated ad on facebook certainly put some minds together. I was offered 3 pairs through the facebook ad. Two of them used, one pair new (I am guessing based on the price). In my opinion the price was not right, but taking time to care and give the offers will always be appreciated. So a big thanks to Kim and Anders, and the add probably resulted in Kim, passing on one of his beloved pair to another happy soul.

How about my new ones? Let’s quote Shakespare here: “When a father gives to his son, both laugh; when a son gives to his father, both cry.” As you probably understood, my son read the finn add and went dealing an wheeling for me. What he came up with was impressive. A pair of brand new pair of waterproof Nike lunar command 2 (at incredible price) are allowed to tag along to the Emerald Isle to beat the hell out the links courses and park outside any steakhouse for the evening steak. One would think he deserved to tag along. Well, maybe he does. I will check the possibilities this week.

Next item to be renewed Golf bag, let’s make a story of that one as well …..
