Golf is a matter of swinging. No not like your everyday swingers, but more about swinging the club. The swing usually also gives mood swings. One day you are up another you have been pounded so hard down that you feel you are stuck like fence pole. Well, if it is any conciliation, all golfers get there more than once. And it does not really apply to a daily thing, more like from swing to swing.
Anyway, I have been off to a great start of 2019. Maybe not performance wise, but definitely training wise. Last night I sent the kids to sleep over at their friends houses, while I encouraged the wife to go out and eat with her friends …. Friday night … alone. All alone actually, even while playing on the simulator. I tried to get Snippen and Marshal to join outside the box, but no chance, not late, nor early. I put in a nice round of training and several birdies was captured. Even from the back tee’s. I was very happy and definitely Up that night.
This morning I wanted some company, so I was dumb enough to invite myself to play with some of our new members, KimKimBert. They did their best to put me off from the start. I was lucky enough to tee off first, Hit a fairly nice drive, but the other guys outdrove me like they had ferrari’s vs my toyota. They did have 15+ years newer drivers than me … But I relized they had put me to play from the back tee’s while themselves tee’d of from the “Mens”. When they relized I scored par and was still in joint lead, they cancelled the round and started over …. and that is were hell broke loose ….
I can easily conclude that the KimKimBert trio was far better at this than I was. At least from the “mens” tee, and at least today. I think my bad play have a positive effect on the other golfers. This was the second time in two tries, that one of the other golfers played their best round on the simulator. Nice for them ….
It was great to know some new members, I am sure they will be able to contribute to a lot of fun the year to come. We will probably be able to post a video summing up some of our play later on.
Next time I will for sure have straightened out my Iron play, which really sucked lollipop today.
