Day 2 – Up and down with a smile

Although you would think waking up after a rough day in the wind and an even windier and rougher night at the Yacht Club would wipe any smiles off our faces, you are totally wrong. How can one not smile when the sun is up, we can brush our teeth in the parking lot and are treated with a great hotel breakfast … with Bacon … it is simply Löööwe ….

After the great start, we headed over to the Island of Tjörn, not far from the hotel. We brought our own mobile hotel of course and got settled in with some fluids while getting the golf gear on. Tjörn GK welcomed us and we felt the down-to-earth atmosphere right away.

Less wind and more sun should give us a lot of fun. The course was challenging, like all courses are. In golf there is simply no such thing as an easy score or a slut. One need to work hard to get it in the hole, every time. Some find it less difficult than others, but even the best golfer needs to stay focused to manage. Back to the track. We had a great day at the golf course and decided to stay at the nearby camping spot “under the bridge”.

We had, of course, stacked up with food, and Bertil, aka Øwre Marshal, gave us an experience of a lifetime (we hope to find and expose the video material at some point). Enough food for all, and enough fun for the whole Island. Too bad we were the only ones camping. Mid April, 2.4 degrees at night … one would think camping would appeal to everyone. I for one, had no issues with the temperature, did not even bring a sleeping bag or carpet … but I did manage to steel some heat from my buddies, and at this camping spot, they even had a spare blanket.
