Description:

If you’re looking for a good-value, no-frills muni in the North West of England, head here. You’ll find a splendid, rolling parkland with a good mix of holes. You will find some dubious sloping lies while straight driving is vital to help find the small, well-guarded greens.

This is a Donald Steel designed golf course that opened in 1982. It’s an 18-hole 72 par course.

This is my local course and I’m glad it is. It is widely liked by all fellow golfers I talk too. Very hilly course from tee to hole as it is situated on the beacon hill. This is a course for the big hitters out there. Main hazard is trees (alot of them) Most of the time you are surrounded by forrest so you have to keep your ball straight or your in trouble. Very slopey fairways which makes it challenging but a joy to play. The tees are impecable and greens are very well kept and very fast when dry due to the course being on a hill. Good modern bar in the club house with a nice pint. Good driving range and practice green and a fully stocked pro shop. Buggy hire. Alot of blind holes which adds to the excitement. Overall a really good course for the price and I would reccommend it to anyone and any handicap.
